Bay Village board members honored by students
BOEhonored 2
As a special honor for our board members during School Board Appreciation Month, Bay Middle School students (represented here by Rocco Ereditario, back row left) made these awesome laser-engraved wooden nameplates as gifts! Mrs. Lapolla (second from back left) works with students after school in the BMS maker space, The Launch Pad. Assistant Principal Tom Grodek (back right) is also very involved in the after-school enrichment activity where so many maker tools, from carpentry implements to 3-D printers, let STEM projects be created by highly engaged students! Board members, holding nameplates, are from left: Amy Huntley, Steve Lee, Lisa Priemer, Gayatry Jacob-Mosier and Beth Lally.

School board elects new officers, changes committee structure

The Bay Village Board of Education, at its organizational meeting on Jan. 7, elected new officers for 2019: Beth Lally will be president and Lisa Priemer will serve as vice-president. In addition, after months of considering a change to its committee structure, the board is now designating one of its two monthly meetings as a work session. The work session remains a regular, open meeting.

More about the school board plans can be found on our website.

A Calendar Hearing presenting the proposed calendar for 2020-2021 will be held at the school board's regular work session on Monday, February 11 at 6:30 p.m. This hearing is held no less than 30 days before the board can approve the calendar. This is an open meeting with time for public comment.
