Update on school closing for week of Mon. March 16

Dear parents/guardians and staff members --

We are pleased to announce that students can access e-learning work posted online on Monday, March 16, and we are happy to share that teachers are ready to begin teaching on Tuesday, March 17th (our previous announcement indicated March 24). On Monday, principals will send you more information about accessing lessons and picking up Chromebooks if needed by families. There was some confusion regarding Ohio legal requirements for the use of calamity days, but we've since learned we can move forward with online teaching this week. We appreciate your understanding as initial decisions may need to evolve with this fast-changing and unprecedented situation.
IMPORTANT: Please note that Monday (March 16) will be the last day to pick up medication or other supplies at school before the buildings close at the end of the day.
For families without internet access, Charter will offer free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription at any service level up to 100 Mbps. To enroll, call 1-844-488-8395. Installation fees will be waived for new student households. Families may begin calling on Monday (March 16) to sign up for this program.
We are updating our Frequently Asked Questions daily. If you have a general question regarding our COVID-19 school closing plans, please check that page and submit a question if you have one (not for individual situations): http://bit.ly/BayCOVID19FAQs
Finally, you may notice that our school buses are rolling on Monday. That is because St. Raphael's is open, and transportation is being provided for those students.
Thank you for your collaboration in helping our students continue their learning. Stay safe!
